Trombone Player Shot In Pinellas Park After Orchestra Practice

Pinellas Park Police say a trombone player was fatally shot as she left an orchestra practice.

Police tell news outlets that 59-year-old Caroline Morton-Hicks was found shot in the street Monday night outside the city's government building and performing arts center.

Detectives say that after leaving the practice session, Morton-Hicks argued with someone in the parking lot. The person chased her into the street and shot her.

She died at the scene.

No additional details were immediately available.
