While Hurricane Humberto continues to strengthen and grow on a path toward Bermuda, forecasters are now monitoring a tropical depression that is forecast to become a hurricane by the end of the week.

Tropical Depression Ten is located far out in the Atlantic and moving west-northwest near 12 mph, according to the National Hurricane Center. It is forecast to pick up speed and approach the Leeward Islands as a hurricane by Thursday night or Friday.

Current tracks have the system continuing on a west-northwesterly path, with hurricane-force winds possibly impacting portions of Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic this weekend.

Meanwhile, Bermuda is under a hurricane watch as Humberto, with maximum sustained winds of 100 mph with higher gusts, is forecast to further intensify and pass just north of the island by Wednesday night.
