Thousands lined up around the gymnasium at Hillsborough Community College in Tampa to see President Obama speak.
This was his second Florida stop of the day. The first was in Orlando this morning.
Those attending stood in line for hours in the heat. Perhaps surprisingly, there weren't too many complaints.

"I'm so excited to see him," says Tampa resident Shirley Brown.
Brown says she hopes events like this will energize voters to act.
"We all have to help president Obama. So what we should be asking him what we can do to help him succeed in the office."
Jim Terrell shared her enthusiasm, "I love listening to him speak. It's wonderful to have a president that can put two sentences together."
Not everyone was singing the president's praises however. Chris Seeger joined a small group of protesters which lined the street leading to the event. He held signs and shouted at cars passing by.
"What I am telling these progressives when they drive by is, the very system that they take advantage of, they live in America the greatest country in the world,"Chris Seeger says.
"They make their money, they make their fortunes. Yet, they are the very ones who will talk out of both sides of their mouth and trash the very system they make their fortunes in."
