Crist to Speak at DNC Next Week

Former Gov. Charlie Crist will speak at the Democratic National Convention next week in Charlotte, according to ABC Action News.

A day has yet to be set.

The news follows Crist's announcement Sunday that he is endorsing President Barack Obama for reelection.

The Miami Herald wrote: "It's looks like yet another indication that Crist, an independent, plans on becoming a Democrat and running for governor.''

Crist switched from the Republican party to independent in 2010 during his fight against Marco Rubio for the U.S. Senate.
