"They have now adopted a Republican Party platform that is the most extreme in the history of American politics when it comes to women's access to the healthcare that they need," said Representative Kathy Castor to a crowd of cheering women and men at a Planned Parenthood rally in Tampa on Wednesday.
A torrent of rain pelted the crowd as Castor finished her remarks, but it didn't deter the enthusiasm of the people gathered in support of women's reproductive rights.
Mitt Romney has stated that as president he would end federal funding for Planned Parenthood, among other programs.
