If you're planning to vote in this November's election, brace yourselves. The ballots in Florida this year are HUGE.
The one in Hillsborough County is 6 pages long.
"I think this is the first time that I know of that the ballot was this size. Now, we've had obviously two sheets before but never one that's three sheets, six pages that are 17 inches long," says Hillsborough Supervisor of Elections Earl Lennard.
There are twelve candidates on the ballot running for president. There are candidates for U.S. Senate, Congress, the state legislature. There are judges, school board members and local referendums too.
But wait, there's more....
Eleven amendments to the state constitution are also on the ballot. Many of them are in legal jargon.
Lennard suggests doing your homework ahead of time.
"It is up to each of the voters to study these proposed amendments to determine whether or not they feel comfortable voting one way or the other and or else not voting," he says.
Lennard says folks can also request an absentee ballot or vote early. Early voting begins October 27.
