A new Quinnipiac Poll released today shows both presidential candidates are essentially in a head to head tie in Florida.
The newest Quinnipiac Poll shows President Barack Obama at 48 percent and Mitt Romney at 47 percent in the state of Florida.
Throw in the 3 percent margin of error... and it's really too close to call in this state.
Assistant Director of the Quinnipiac Polling Institute Peter Brown says Romney's numbers have gained momentum since the last poll.
"Late September, the last time Quinnipiac polled likely voters in Florida, Mr. Obama had a 9 point lead so Mr. Romney has essentially erased that lead and the two are basically in a dead heat," Brown says.
A recent poll of likely I-4 corridor voters by the Tampa Bay Times showed Romney in the lead by 6 points.
The same Quinnipiac poll release today showed Bill Nelson in a clear lead for the U.S. Senate race against Connie Mack.
