Here's a memo to all those candidates for are planning last-minute stops before Florida's March 15 primary: a lot of voters have already made up their minds.
Even though some of the presidential candidates haven't made it to Florida, one in 12 of the state's registered voters have already cast a ballot, according to reports from the Florida Division of Elections.
As of Monday, more than 1 million people throughout the state have cast a ballot, either through absentee ballots or early voting.
Miami-Dade County is leading the state, with more than 116,000 ballots turned in. Pinellas County is second, with 103,000 people casting early ballots, followed by Hillsborough County with 74,000 and 71,000 in Broward County.
State figures report that 603,000 Republicans have already voted, compared to 486,000 Democrats.
Early voting ends Saturday, three days before the primary.
The Florida Division of Elections reports that as of March 7, more than 1 million votes have been turned in for the presidential preference primary.
