The availability of mail-in ballots this election will allow votes to be cast from kitchen tables and living room couches, as opposed to polling booths.
The state Division of Elections says that more than 10 percent of Florida voters have already ordered mail-in ballots and that number continues to grow.
Brian Corley, supervisor of elections for Pasco County, says that there are many advantages to voting at home.
"The convenience, it's mailed right to your home, you can take your time doing the research on the candidate and the issues, you can hop online and check out the candidates positions, or even research some of the amendments," Corley said.
Registered voters need to order mail-in ballots by November 2, although Corley strongly encourages voters to do it earlier than that to assure that the ballots will make it back to the Supervisor of Elections office before 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
