Tampa Man To 'Witness History' At Inauguration

Travis Horn, executive with the Ybor City advertising firm S3 Media, will be one of the people perched on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

The center of the world's attention will be on the steps of the U.S. Capitol Friday, when Donald Trump is inaugurated as the 45th president of the United States.

Travis Horn will be one of the people perched on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The executive with the Ybor City advertising firm S3 Media said he's been to several gubernatorial inaugurations, but this time, he's looking forward to being a witness to history.

"I've never made it to a national inauguration - I've never gone up for one," he said. "So it's kind of like one of those bucket list items - irrespective of who's president, I think it crosses party lines where people want to see the peaceful exchange of power, and pay honor to that, and be a witness to it."

Horn said despite talk of a boycott of the event, "The people have spoken, and we have a new president, and I hope everything's peaceful. I don't recall any past inaugurations where we've had any kind of violent clashes or anything to that kind of extent, so hopefully we can maintain decorum and both sides can have their say and keep it peaceful."
