Testimony got underway Friday in Georgia in the murder trial of three white men accused of killing Ahmaud Arbery, a Black man gunned down as he jogged. The trio suspected Arbery of recent break-ins.

Nearly three hours of testimony came from a video producer for a right-wing news site who filmed Rittenhouse in Kenosha, Wis. Prosecutors also called two men who wanted to "protect" businesses.

Testimony began in the trial of three white men accused of murdering Black jogger Ahmaud Arbery. The men allegedly thought Arbery was involved in recent break-ins and chased him down in pickup trucks.

The men chasing Ahmaud Arbery in their pickups got so close to him that his hand print was found on one of the trucks, along with fibers from his T-shirt, prosecutors told the jury.

Eleven jurors in the case are white, and one is Black. While the judge acknowledged "intentional discrimination in the panel," he said he was unable to reinstate any jurors who had been dismissed.

Judge Bruce Schroeder, who is overseeing the Rittenhouse trial in Kenosha, Wis., has a reputation as a no-nonsense judge. But his rulings over evidence and language in the case has sparked outrage.

The juror, a retired white man, told a court police officer a joke about the Black man whose shooting by police in 2020 sparked the protests where Rittenhouse killed two and wounded a third.

Opening arguments begin Tuesday in the trial of 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse, charged with homicide and attempted homicide in deadly shootings last summer during unrest in Kenosha, Wis.

Rittenhouse's lawyers say he was acting in self-defense when he shot and killed two men and wounded a third at a protest in Kenosha, Wis., last August. Prosecutors say he was acting recklessly.
