Two Florida men are charged in an indictment unsealed today in federal court for the District of Columbia with multiple felonies and misdemeanors related to their conduct during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

Florida Proud Boy sentenced on felony charges for assaulting police officers during Jan. 6. Capitol breach defendant became a fugitive to avoid sentencing, triggering a 6-week manhunt.

A former leader of the far-right Proud Boys extremist group has been sentenced to more than three years behind bars for joining a plot to attack the U.S. Capitol nearly three years ago. A South Florida activist has also been charged with storming the Capitol building on Jan. 6 with a Proud Boys member.

An attorney for ex-Proud Boys national leader Enrique Tarrio says his defense team will review federal prosecutors’ reasoning for appealing his 22-year prison sentence in the U.S. Capitol insurrection.

Gilbert Fonticoba, 49, of Hialeah, was a senior member of the Proud Boys who helped destroy a fence and interfered with officers protecting the Capitol.

John Anthony Schubert III, 47, faces charges in a criminal complaint filed in the District of Columbia with felony offenses of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers.

Christopher John Worrell of Naples, a member of the 'Proud Boys' extremist group, who disappeared days before his sentencing in the U.S. Capitol riot case in August, is now in FBI custody.

Joseph Biggs and Zachary Rehl were convicted alongside former Proud Boys national chairman Enrique Tarrio and other fellow members of the group.

Prosecutors are seeking 33 years for Tarrio. Also set to be sentenced later this week are Tarrio's codefendants: Ethan Nordean, Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl and Dominic Pezzola.

Sentencing scheduled Friday in federal court in Washington D.C. for Naples resident Christopher Worrell has been cancelled and rescheduled at a later date while federal authorities are looking for him.

The sentence, if imposed, would be by far the longest punishment that has been handed down in the massive prosecution of the riot on Jan. 6, 2021.

Michael Steven Perkins, of Plant City, was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison in District of Columbia federal court. Joshua Christopher Doolin, of Polk City, received a sentence of one year and six months on Wednesday.
