Drivers should be prepared for road closures and heavy traffic — particularly in Ybor City — on Saturday, March 29.

The decision comes shortly after Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill that would penalize businesses if children were to attend "adult live performances" like drag shows.

The Senate on Tuesday approved a measure aimed at blocking venues from admitting kids to “adult live performances," which could effectively ban drag queens at pride events that often bill themselves as "family friendly."

Tampa Pride 2022 returns to Ybor City on Saturday for a day of festivals, live music, parades, and more.

Organizers of the Tampa Pride Street Festival and Parade said it's the first large Pride celebration in the country in 2021.
