The latest data from the state Department of Health showed yet another decrease in cases during over the past month, with 6,380 positives during the week that started Oct. 6.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management said that FEMA added Hillsborough and Charlotte to a list of counties where assistance is available for temporary lodging, basic home repairs and other disaster-related expenses.

The proposed ballot summary, in part, says the measure would allow “adults 21 years or older to possess, purchase, or use marijuana products and marijuana accessories” for non-medical consumption.

The Health and Human Services Appropriations Committee is scheduled to hear presentations from AHCA, DCF and Florida Healthy Kids Corp.

The latest report also revealed that 91,178 residents had died with COVID-19 as of Thursday. That was up from a reported 90,740 deaths two weeks earlier.

The state Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services said that Citgo has closed 950 claims, resulting in more than $447,000 in auto repairs or reimbursements.

The move will apply to families in 16 counties designated by FEMA as eligible for federal individual assistance after the storm made landfall Aug. 30. Some counties in the greater Tampa Bay region qualify.

The bill would delete part of state law that says minors who are age 16 or 17 can’t work before 6:30 a.m. or after 11 p.m. or for more than eight hours when school is scheduled the next day.
