No Designated Driver this Weekend? AAA Has a Solution

AAA and Bud Light are offering their free Tow to Go program this Fourth of July weekend to keep drunk drivers away from the steering wheel.  AAA encourages all motorists who plan on drinking to secure a designated driver, but spokesman Matt Nasworthy knows that not all drivers will take this advice.

"Some folks end up out there needing a safety net, meaning they didn't have a plan," he said, "and that would be where Tow to Go would come in handy. They can call us and we'll come out and tow them and their vehicle home, free of charge."

Nasworthy said that Tow to Go has made an big impact since it started in 1998.

"It's a partnership that we've had with Bud Light now going on sixteen years," he said, "and over that period of time we've removed over 23,000 intoxicated drivers off the roadways in the southeast."

Tow to Go offers rides within a ten-mile radius, and drivers do not have to have AAA to use it. The offer lasts through July 6th.
