For only the second time in team history, the USF women's basketball team will play in the NCAA Tournament.

The Bulls (21-10) received the 10th seed in the Spokane Region and will play the 7th seed Texas Tech (21-10, 11-7 Big 12) at the Lady Raiders' home in Lubbock, Texas, at 6:30 p.m. ET Saturday.

The Bulls hit their high point late in the season, beating nationally ranked Louisville and Syracuse in back-to-back games in February.

The Bulls finished eighth in the Big East with a 9-7 record in its final season in the Big East Conference, beating Rutgers 42-39 in the post-season tournament before falling to conference regular season champions Notre Dame 75-66.

The Bulls' only previous trip to the NCAA Tournament was during the 2005-2006 season, where they lost  to USC in the first round.

Last year's team (19-16) made it to the third round of the Women's NIT, beating Florida Atlantic and Florida International before losing to James Madison.

The USF men's basketball team did not make any post-season tournaments, finishing the season with a 12-19 record (3-15) in the Big East. They won the first two NCAA tournament games in team history last year, beating California and Temple before losing to Ohio in the third round.
