The Student Success Center at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg now bears the name of board member and long-time USF supporter Debbie Sembler.
Sembler, a member of the USF Board of Trustees, was honored at a meeting of the USFSP Campus Board Tuesday morning. It was the final meeting she presided over after 10 years as chair of the Campus Board.

"Debbie has been an active participant and friend to USF and USF St. Petersburg, from her philanthropic support of the fountain, which is the main focal point on this campus to what she has done for the students with regards to the University Student Center that she almost single-handedly with the students got passed through the Legislature," fellow trustee Stephanie Goforth said.
"This (Center) will anchor the student support services as the fountain anchors this campus," Goforth added.
The Student Success Center, which is based in Davis Hall, houses tutoring and testing services for the 4,500 students on campus, as well as a computer lab.
