USF Graduate Making Name For Self In Tampa, Ivy League

WUSF 89.7 News
Cesar Hernandez brought one of the HART Hyperlink cars to his alma mater, USF, earlier this year.

In 2011, the University of South Florida campus newspaper, the Oracle, printed an article titled "Cesar Hernandez Needs to Cut It Out."

It wasn't demeaning the then-student body president - it was praising him for a myriad of accomplishments, saying "frankly, he's making the rest of us look bad."

Six years later, things haven't changed.

Hernandez, now 31, is back in the news as the government affairs specialist for Hillsborough Area Regional Transit, or HART, as well as being the youngest member of this year's class of the IE Brown Executive MBA program.

We talk to him on this week's University Beat. We'll have highlights from the interview up shortly, or you can hear an extended version by clicking on the Listen link above.
