Health officials reported 46 people died due to complications from the coronavirus since Sunday's report, and that pushed the statewide death toll past 17,000.

The state reported 4,865 news positive tests since Saturday on more than 123,000 tests, with a positivity rate of 4.32%.

Many are aware of the risks associated with not wearing a mask, but in the absence of older company, to them, the risk becomes irrelevant.

The state recorded 2,331 new daily positive coronavirus tests, its lowest total in nearly two weeks, but with its highest positivity rate in a similar time span.

The daily number of positive coronavirus tests in Florida Thursday was once again more than 4,000.

Florida's coronavirus infections passed 790,000 Wednesday with over 4,100 people testing positive since Tuesday. Statewide, 790,426 people have tested positive.

There were also over 4,000 positive tests on Oct. 24.

Monday marked the first time in four days the coronavirus test positivity rate has been above 5%.

The state received 127,387 tests Friday and 3.68% of those being tested for the first time were positive. It's the second straight day the positivity rate was 4% or lower.

The last time the statewide daily increase in infections was over 5,000 — not counting days where there were data issues — was September 1.

The positivity rate for new coronavirus tests in Florida Monday was over 6 percent for the first time since early September.

The number of coronavirus tests returned Sunday was under 40,000 — the positivity rate for tests was just below 5%.
